Just go and take a look at other contests that are based on upvotes and look at the upvotes given, such as Debate Forum - Week 10 - Trade Agreements and Steemit Comment Challenge #16 - $25SBD Giveaway - Comment like a Champ, Grow your blog like a Champ!!. Get your friends in your community to get on board and upvote you, and you will win all the contests based on quantity and not quality. This is the truth of these contests. Don't expect to win, but just get some small change for your hard thought comments. That's all in these games. It's like the dark underbelly of Hollywood. Contestants beware and pay attention to contests judged by upvotes, it's such an eye opener! Don't spend too much time on your comments on a contest because if you are a loner, you won't win regardless of how good your comments are.

The same goes for posts. You just wonder why some posts with one picture or make no sense at all can have so many upvotes and dollars? You scratch your head and try to understand it and see if you can discover a magical formula. Let me tell you the algorithm is again in the formation of a "community" that gravitates towards a member's or members' posts, and this gravitation further produces a "herd" effect from non-community members as well.
