People complain that authors with a history of producing consistently quality content get added to autovoters.
These guys running the bots want their curation rewards.
If an author starts phoning it in, fewer will manually upvote, curation rewards will dry up and the autovotes will vanish.
I agree. As much as people complain, the system as is is pretty darn good. Crap posts are pretty consistently punished and good comment gets rewarded... Eventually.
