How POWERING UP 100% Worked Out In My Favor!steemCreated with Sketch.

Back in November when I joined steemit.com, the price of STEEM was about 0.10 $ - 0.15$. after a couple of days, I realized that there is an option when you want to post something that lets you post with 100% power up.It meant you will get paid all by STEEM powers whereas by default you would get some STEEM dollars and STEEM itself(which you could transfer immediately).

The default 50-50 option was fine at the time but I chose to post all of my contents with 100% power up option because I wasn't intending to cash out my sSTEEMs, after all, I was in it for the long term, and it also could increase the power of my curation which is very important when you are building your network or joining a powerful community like @steemtrail. by that mindset, I started posting, and some of my posts made it up to 20$, 30$, 40$ and even 50$ and as a result, I got 60 to 150 STEEM powers for each post. and now the posts that paid out 20$, are worth more than 200$! that is right, they paid out 10 times more(so far). I suggest the same thing to new Steemians as well, if you are not intending to cash out your payouts, just go with 100% power up option, this way you will show that you are serious about the platform and you are in it for the long term, and also you will have more power to appreciate people who read your posts and care to give you valuable feedbacks.

just to clarify I am not saying cashing out what you earned on the platform is a bad thing or you should not do it(actually the reason that makes Steemit unique is that you can cash out your earnings, and it's been helping lots of people to pay their bills, rent, etc...), all I am saying is if you don't need the money earned by blogging on the Steemit, just let it lay there and don't even think about powering down, or changing your assets to money. I even changed all my STEEMs to STEEM powers because I don't want to get excited by the bullish market and sell them before its time(which is at least after 2018 in my mind).

Thank You

🍒 Actually yesterday I was going to power down but I changed my mind, I thought it would be more valuable to keep gaining SP, so I will do that :)

good for you :)
fortunately I don't need to cash out my payouts right now too, so I keep them till its time(in one or two years maybe)

By the way, I noticed you promoted this post but it did not get a lot of views or likes, maybe people don't like the idea of powering up 100%....... that makes me think

Someone called the low prices on steem "dark times". But really, in a sense, it was a Golden time for many users :)

that is exactly what happened to me :)

Thank you, now I can see it is wise to acquire all the power as soon as possible

glad to see you are choosing what I chose back in time :)

thanks for the post
