4 Steps to Write a Good Post on Steemit

in #steemit8 years ago

Step 1: Set a goal

What idea do you want to convey in your post?

Limit yourself to a corner or at a specific point. If the subject is too broad, rather write a series of articles, each dealing with a different aspect. The content of each of your post must solve a problem experienced by your visitors. Put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself: "What he's interesting for me in this article, concretely?".I usually choose a title before starting the article writing. The goal is to channel my writing about a specific topic. To force me not away from me.

Step 2: Create a structure

Before you start writing, set a plan. It's not very complicated: just list the main points that you will develop. The introduction can either define your subject (what, who, when, where, why?) Or to revive the issue you are going to find solutions ( "You spent sleepless nights trying to run your router ...?" ) or surprise, wonder or shock. You can write your introduction when writing complete. The advantage is that you will have an overview of your article.

Step 3: Write as if you were talking

Writing follows the flow of your thoughts. Write quickly, as if you were talking. Do not come back on the mistakes or the formulations. You'll have time to do after. Use this time to channel all your efforts on creativity. Do not censor yourself. If such a word is misspelled, such clumsy sentence, continue. Do not interrupt the flow of your ideas. Never go back. Remember to breathe. Writing is like a conversation: she lives. Vary the length of sentences. Use examples. Illustrate your point with the experiences you have had. Just do as if you were talking to a friend.

Step 4: re-read and correct

When writing is completed, you can change your mindset. The creative you were in the previous step becomes a corrector, strict and rigid. Reread your text several times. When a sentence seems twisted, then pronounced aloud. If it sounds bad, change it there. It's a good idea to separate a few hours writing and proofreading. Or even days. Or to read in another place. You will discover more mistakes or bad formulations, because you will have taken a step back. An author whose name I have forgotten advised to change the font and background color of the page for proofreading. I tried, and it works. It's a simple trick to stand back on its text, by placing it in another context.  #openheart #openmind #steemit #steemwatch #new #hot #money #crypto #internet#future #life #steemwatch #investment #world #blockchain #writing #introduceyourself#bitcoin #economics #new #steemhelp
