How I accidently stumbled onto steemit and 9 AMAZING TIPS for minnows to find their way through STEEMIT UNIVERSE!
First of all I would love to thank everybody for all the love and support you gave me!
I finally past the first milestone of a 100 followers. I am very grateful to be part of this amazing community in the early beginning stages. I think this amazing project has the potential to change the entire economy as we know it!
I already have some good ideas on how I can use this platform in the future when I live on a piece of land full of fruit trees, vegetables and precious medicinal herbs. One of the ideas I have is to grow the most wanted medicinal herbs and make herbal medicine tinctures, herbal infused oils and essential oils out of it and try to connect with people in need for medicine on steemit.
I wouldn't try to make a business out of it. My sole purpose would be to help people in need, if they want to pay they could donate of course. But I wouldn't want to charge for something I like to do, working with mother nature and helping others.
Mother nature also doesn't charge me to grow medicine, it is a gift from nature.
The work I would put into it would purely be out of passion.
After all being creative with food is what I love to do!!!
And now thanks to steemit I discovered another passion of mine, writing!
So far it has been quite an adventure on steemit. So much to discover here!
When I first started out, I didn't knew where to begin. I felt like a kid in a candy store.. still there is so much left to learn. But I am taking it easier now, I try to sleep at night instead of researching steemit.. haha..
I love how coincidences lead up to opportunities. I wasn't looking for steemit, it just popped up outta nowhere.
Like I said in my previous article "How I Became So Attracted To The Nomad Lifestyle" that I stumbled on the biggest Eco-village project in Europe by chance, Steemit was no different. It always starts out with an idea I have in my head and later it somehow appears in my life by chance.
After travelling on my savings for a year now I was starting to think on how I could make some money in the near future to further sponsor my travels, but this time I was thinking about the internet...
How could I do it on the internet?
I started searching the net for possibilities. Very quickly I found a site that offers freelance jobs https://www.freelancer.com/ this could be anything from writing articles, creating logos, translating texts to programming or developing websites.
As it wasn't really urgent it kinda faded away out of my thoughts and I was silently wishing for something better to come along... so I didn't go further into the quest of earning money on the internet from here on...
A few weeks later..
On one morning I woke up, my friend was watching some youtube videos on his phone. He stumbled on a video of a man who claimed he invented a free energy device, my curiosity drove me to sit next to him and watch along with him. I know there are a lot of fake videos on free energy devices but somehow I felt I needed to see this one. The guy who was filming was like an independent reporter visiting this guy at home and said for more info on free energy devices go to the websites displayed in the clip. I didn't really believed in it but my curiosity took me there anyway.
Once I opened the website I saw a free eBook presented on how to make money with bitcoin. This had caught my attention!
I downloaded the eBook and started reading. Eventually the manual didn't really interest me but it had started my curiosity again to dig deeper into bitcoin. Two years ago bitcoin grabbed my attention but I didn't trusted it enough to engage in the crypto world. This time I was thinking this was no coincidence that I somehow stumbled onto bitcoin again at this particular point in time. So I started learning as much as I could about bitcoin.
Meanwhile I accidently came on some guy's post on steemit through a google search totally unrelated to the topic. Not knowing what it was I went on to something else... but I didn't forget the name steemit, it was present somewhere in the back of my mind. Normally I easily forget things where I don't have a particular interest in, somehow this time was different...
A week later I was looking at some videos about cryptos and stumbled on a youtube channel called "Press For Truth". There it was again the name Steemit. It was a video on his channel "Steemit Is A Game Changer And Here's Why"
as soon as I saw the video I knew for sure this was it! The thing that I was waiting for. The thing I was silently wishing for had manifested into my reality. This is something that happens regularly...so be careful what you wish for..haha..
I was really impressed with his channel so as soon as I signed up, @pressfortruth got a new follower. I want to say thank you to Dan for this. You hooked me up with the coolest community in the universe! I salute you sir! Keep it up, you're bringing some real investigative journalism into the world of alternative media. You've got the skills.
Here is a video from his channel to show you his investigative journalism skills,
"Trudeau To Give Clinton's $20 Million To Advance Gender Equality"
Now enough of my "Detective Coincidence's" stories. I would like to refer to some amazing posts and people that have helped me through this crazy researching journey to try unravel steemit.
Unraveling steemit
First post I am grateful for is from @vinnu , thanks brother. This post is about how you can download the discord app and register at the PAL server. Once this is done he explains to you how you can get more upvotes using the bots in the upvote-resteem tab. If you are completely new to steemit this is something to put on your to do list! go visit the post with this link:
https://steemit.com/steemit/@vinnu/how-to-grow-when-you-are-new-to-steemit-and-how-get-upvotes-in-just-minutes-by-minnowsupportThe second helpful tool I discovered for minnows was thanks to @yoda1917 , he explained me about @randowhale. It is another voting bot, but this one works differently. Here is how it works.
First you go to your wallet and click on the arrow next to the amount of your Steem Dollars and in the little menu that opens you click Transfer
Now you will see this screen
Now you have to fill in the empty fields like this
In the memo section you have to paste the URL of your post that you want to upvote, and the amount needed for this is 2 steem dollars.
Now hit SUBMIT and BAM you've got a new vote coming in!
That's how easy it is!
How much you get in return? I am not exactly sure.. it is never the same but don't expect too much, but every bit helps for a minnow.
But don't worry I've got another trick up my sleeve..
For the latest info and bonuses on @randowhale follow this link => https://steemit.com/@randowhale
Now comes the best voting bot I have discovered until now, @booster. This one I discovered by the help of a post from @hackerwhacker thanks brother! He gives some helpful tips for getting the most out of your bot upvotes. The trick is to wait for upvoting with bots until 13 hours before payout according to him.
Here is the link to his post => https://steemit.com/chainbb-general/@hackerwhacker/minnows-useful-hacks- The instructions are the same as with randowhale but now you can choose the amount you want to pay. You just need a little bit more patience with this one because this bot waits until his voting power is full again before he casts his next votes.
Here is an example
Also with this one I am not sure how much you get in return,
you can find more information on this bot here => https://steemit.com/@booster
- The instructions are the same as with randowhale but now you can choose the amount you want to pay. You just need a little bit more patience with this one because this bot waits until his voting power is full again before he casts his next votes.
Not everybody is a big fan of voting bots, I can understand why but it is very difficult for us minnows to get some exposure with our articles. It can be helpful in the beginning to use them because when you reach 5$ on your post then your post isn't buried anymore underneeth all the new posts coming behind you and now it's between the trending posts. I think...correct me if I am wrong please..:)
Thanks to @markwhittam I have found another solution that is beneficial to the community instead of the owner of the bots. It is by promoting your post, check out his post here.
There are different kind of support groups minnows should check out:
- First One is thanks to @joeyrocketfilms with the minnowtowhale support group check it out here +rules/guidelines here
- Second is thanks to @aggroed with the minnowsupport project check here for the latest info
- And the last support group whalepower is thanks to @bullionstackers and @paul-gillbanks check it out here
If you are on a mission to find talents or valuable information on steemit, it ain't easy searching in more than 220.000 accounts to find talents and useful information...
Here's a site I discovered in @stephenkendal his post, go to https://steemwhales.com/
Here you can find the whales with the most followers, steem power, steem dollars, steem, curation rewards, posting rewards,... very useful site!Next post with a lot of information on different steemit tools and websites you can use is from @luzcypher. This one is a very detailed post with very useful information on different tools. He explains tools for keeping track on your most loyal followers, as well as tools for checking your voting power and how much your vote is worth, tools where you can check who resteemed your posts,...
I haven't checked them all out yet but this post is very informative, definitely a must read post!
https://steemit.com/steem-help/@luzcypher/how-to-use-steemtools-to-track-your-progress-on-steemit-and-gain-real-followersIf you are a food blogger then you can promote your posts in the new discord channel made for food. Thanks to our fellow steemian @progressivechef after he was talking to @joeyrocketfilms about the idea for a food channel, Joey showed his support by connecting him with @aggroed and that is how the food channel in the discord app was born...
Thank you guys for making this happen!
Go to https://discord.gg/HaxPg3B to visit the food channel. Now my latest favorite tool I discovered, DIY Graphic Design. This one I discovered in a post from @ldauch , thanks brother! Special thanks
I want to say thank you to a very kind lady with a big heart who helped me a lot by resteeming my previous post!
Her name is @joanaltres I found her by reading a post I mentioned earlier by @markwhittam about the promoting your post.
He mentioned her in his post because she has the most followers (+12.000) but she doesn't post herself, she only resteems posts that she thinks are undervalued and should get more exposure.
He referred to an interview with @joanaltres by @stellabelle wich you can read here. Mark mentioned that after he donated some money to her she looked into his blog and resteemed his article. This got me curious.. Who is this lady and why is she doing this?
So I started to read the interview and I was impressed with her story. She just likes to help people who put effort in their work and deserve more attention.
@stellabelle proposed to make donations to her for her kindness she has brought to steemit, but before you do I recommend you to read the interview so you know a little bit more about her. I am sure you wont regret it!
Thanks again Joana you helped me a lot, after you resteemed the votes were coming in like crazy..:)
I wish you the best of luck!
Another special thanks to @steemwizards for putting me on your daily post where you curate some of the top missed posts on Steemit! It was a pleasant surprise I am very grateful for this!

Lots of love!!!!
Hello dear :) so nice to see you here! Take your time, the information you get here can be a bit overwhelming at first :) but your patience will be rewarded.
Hope to see you soon on la isla bonita!
Lots of love!!
Hi,
Without being aware of it first, I actually read two of your posts in a row...
First I stumbled upon your post on La Palma and now this one.
This is very valuable info, especially for newbies. I consider myself half a newbie (not sure whether I'm a new or a bie) by now.
Anyhow, I like your intro about the land with fruit trees, etc. and how you discovered Steemit. I see many parallels with my life.
In short: quit my job a year ago, started living on my savings, went to El HIerro, came back, got into cryptocurrency by coincidence (if that exists) and then found the Steem coin and Steemit a week or 5 ago. I'm also planning to live in a place with more sun (than the Netherlands), with less stress, preferably living from the land, focusing my live on creativity and helping others. Keep up the good work and let's stay in touch!
Wow what an amazing coincidense this is..haha, life is full of surprises, I am from belgium and speak dutch..haha.. If you are in la palma let me know and we could meet somewhere. I am sure you will love it here :) cheers bro
awesome article. Very helpful to new members. I'll have to bookmark this one to show other people I'm trying to get on here.

It's strange how little steps bring us to big changes. For me, one friend in India I first met in Thailand made me aware of Steemit. Glad to have you here @mitchiesfoodrace!
Do you use a bluelight filter? I love them! Cannot work without one anymore.
I love the mysteriousness of life..haha.. full of surprises!
Yes I also use the bluelight filter and always forget to turn it off for taking a screenshot..hehe.
I definitely cannot work without it anymore..:) I love it!
