Steemit was down last night. Any explanation?

Hey All,

Last night I was going to make a post about the market but was unable to pot it. I kept getting a 'transaction failed' error. I've never experienced this before.

Were the devs updating the platform? Or was there an issue of some sort? I would love to hear your thoughts on this, Steemit community.
