Pig To Human Heart Transplant

I've met a man that suffered from Cardiovascular disease, He told me that he under went many surgeries because of his heart kept failing him and the time i didn't know that doctors was taking hearts from pigs and putting them in humans. So the gentleman was telling me that one day he was out in his yard doing some yard work when his heart gave out on him and that when the ambulance arrive they had to shock in back in other word do resuscitation. So once he arrive to the hospital the doctors was telling his family that he needs a new heart or that he wasn't going to live much longer and that they could try transplanting a pig heart in a replacement of his heart. The family agreed to the surgery. The man told me that he had to stay in the hospital for quiet sometime and the whole while he was telling me I was in shock because I never knew this, I really didn't believe the man at all so I went home to do some research to find out that the first ever man to receive a pig heart was 57 years old the doctors performed this transplant as of January of 2022 the man had what you called a end stage heart disease. He was the first human to receive a genetically engineered pig heart.
