Design a Book Application "Tale" - Interactive Folklore Based Story iOS
Abstract-The youth's current passion for the story
local people increasingly faded. Folklore from abroad
preferably eg snow princess or Cinderella.
Lack of prestige of local folklore is probably due
publication of local folklore which is defeated by
stories that come from abroad. Apart from the story
overseas is more loved by young children today,
due to the digital game that its development is
very rapidly.
One of the game media is considered
attracting many children in this world is the iPad. See from
the problem will be the lack of interest of the children towards
local folklore and the increasing popularity of the iPad
toys of the year by PCWorld magazine, then it appears
idea of articles to create iPad based apps
titled "The Tale" which is a collection of folklore
Indonesia interactive. Interactive here because of the user
can interact with the characters and the environment inside selected folklore.
In addition, the interaction of the user
can determine the storyline of the story itself. Users
will be invited to think in determining the story line so as not to
wrong in choosing the plot. Selection of storyline can
based on mini-game events and questions.
This application will be expected to further introduce
local folklore to children both from within and
overseas.
A. Cocos2d
The main engine used to build applications
This tale is Cocos2d [1]. Cocos2d is
an Open Source engine built by the community.
The language used by Cocos2d is the native language
which Apple supports. Because using the native language,
then an application built with Cocos2d has
faster speed than other engines like Adobe
Flash.
B. Box2d
Box2d [1] is a built-in Physics engine
with C ++ language. There are many different features
provided by Box2d such as continuous collision detection,
various forms of physics for one object / image,
the large setting of the reflection and rough or slippery objects.
In addition there are various joints such as: revolute,
prismatic, distance, pulley, gear, mouse joint, and variety
other kinds of joints. In Box2d there is also a motor
to move the joint. And angle limits
that can be achieved.
Box2d which is integrated with Cocos2d later
will be used to add real-world effects in the application

C. UIKit Framework
UIKit's workspace is a basic inner workspace
every iOS-based app creation. UIKit provides
the key objects needed to run the application.
