Bid bots didn't exist.
There were no rewards on comments (much to my dismay)
The vote rewards algorithm was different, and your vote equity increased the more people (especially whales) voted on an article that you had.
Most people's votes were worth zero. The above mentioned algorithm meant that most people's votes were not worth anything unless a big SP holder came and voted after you.
You had to wait 104 weeks before being able to withdraw all of your stake (now reduced to 13)

These aren't even changes to Steemit, but to the blockchain itself.

So basically we just received vote sliders lol
