3. Daily accounts transacting
A 'transacting account' is a Steem account that made at least one transaction on the Steem blockchain. This can be a vote, post, comment, transfer, power up or sbd conversion. Users who only read from the Steem blockchain without interacting are not included. The actual number of 'Active users' is therefore much higher than the accounts transacting.

8. Steem Price Update
¯\___(ツ)____/¯ Follow me @penguinpablo for daily Steem statistics.
Thanks for keeping us dated @penguinpablo
Well detailed, @penguinpablo do you have idea about https://www.yobit.net a trading platform withdrawer scheme, cos they charge more for withdrawer. Imagine, transaction fees for EOS is about 10 EOS. Not just Eos but everyone coin on their platform
success for those of you who have shared information, because you I can know what I do not know, thank you good post friends
I'm really curious to see the may number of active accounts from @arcange. Will that confirm the decreasing trend that your data shows for the total number of posts?
What do you all think?
The decreasing trend is according to me related to the value of Steem.
If the Steem price takes a drop (or cryptocurrency in general) the activity on Steem drops. I did ask @arcange if he also could post the activity compared with the value of steem in his daily reports. He was going to look if this is possible to do.
Maybe this also would be a great addition to your report @penguinpablo?
Not long enough on the Steem blockchain, but maybe it is also weather related and the activity decrease with the good weather and increases again in the fall!
I think this is wishful thinking. But right now we almost don't have any reliable data to prove if one of us is fully right. If we both stick around at least until the end of the year, we might have an answer.
So then there is only one thing to do and lets stays at least until the ens of the year 😁
It does make a lot of sense that the price would affect usage, especially at this stage. I think ALOT of people are here who only want quick returns for their posts instead of looking at the platforms like long term investments. Those are very different mind sets. I have no evidence for this but I can imagine it plays a factor.
I did read on the steemitblog, that they are trying to improve the registration process, which could be a great improvement.
Also pity to notice that when the value of steem drops, the interaction on the platform drops.
People should be keeping active on the platform, because maybe the post payout will be less, but because of the fact that also Steem and SBD drops in value, you still will end up with same steem power.
And also when is fewer posts the people who still posting will get more rewards.
So if I'm not mistaken EOS is launching tomorrow so I'm gonna keep an eye on these stats and see if anything changes in the next few weeks!
wow that is a lot of powering down, are we able to get a "biggest power down" chart too?
Hate seeing so much steem being powering down
