Hi, Fellow Steemian

Today I feel about talking to you about how can you promote Steemit in your country and how to help us all to make Steemit a much bigger platform, more international.

Steemitworld.jpg

First of all, we are many here who are speaking and writing in English even it is not our native language. Some are Chinese, some are Marocan, Indian, Indonesian, Cambodian, Japanese, Iranian or whatever other countries. Each country has its own language, tradition, religion, food…. And all country had something unique to bring to Steemit. For now, it is more English based place but we also have a few post in the original language of some country. In an effort to bring more peoples into Steemit, and this is in the interest of all of us, it is good to say to people from all country to use their own language and own alphabet to bring the most users of every country on the platform. The only thing that must be in English for the moment is the tags.

How to start promoting Steemit in your country

First of all, start to think how can you bring Steemit to much as possible people in your country. There is plenty of ways to do it but also each country has its own rules and traditions. What I think at the very beginning try to get your friends and relative to signup and start to post in their own language. Many of you will say to me why posting in their language when English will attract more upvote. The reason is if you want to develop Steemit in your country the local language is the best to get more and more people coming to sign up. In many countries English can be taught but when it comes to writing things become more difficult.

Design some Flyers, business cards or even posters to promote Steemit and make a post in English with your flyers design and what is your plan to promote Steemit in your country. You will get some support from the all international community. And people who are willing to help you will follow you as well as upvote.

Open a new Facebook account and add as much as you can peoples from your country or from the same language. Make a post a day in FB with the link to your Steemit post. So people can come and look at what it is.

Make a post in your language in Steemit with screen capture on how to sign up for non-English speaker and reader. Explain to them every step of the registration process from A to Z. Post your link to this article on Facebook too and make a nice title to advertise Steemit tutorial on how to sign up in your language.

Make a post on Steemit explaining the rules of the community “the do and don’t from Steemit” in your language. Post the link on Facebook with an introduction

Make a post explaining how to post on Steemit and how to make it interesting. Decide a name that represents your country and your language and tells the reader to use it as one of the tags on every post in your language. Example for people speaking and writing Thai language tag will be the word “thai”. Post the Link on Facebook and add it a little introduction.

Post some of the tips and tricks on how to start growing on Steemit. And also post the link on Facebook with a little introduction.

Advertising

Whenever you have some post to help you local community post it on Facebook. The days you have no post for them just post a picture of one the design of the flyers you have done with a little introduction on how Steemit is different from another platform. Also, every day when you are on Facebook accept or make some friend request to touch as many people as possible.

Your first few post about promoting your local community must have made some SBD already so now it is time to start promoting your future Steemit campaign to the international Steemit community. Make a nice post explaining point by point what is your plan and how you will proceed to get Steemit renowned in your country. Ask for help from the international Steemit community. To get little funds to get flyer printed.

Organize an event it can be to a friend coffee shop or another place you can use. Try to borrow a video projector to show to the audience how Steemit works, how to post, how the Steem, Steem dollars, and Steem Power works. Get some fruit juice and a few snack for the audience. In the end, answer the question of your audience and exchange your FB address to keeping in touch. Also, it is very important to speak about Esteem the steemit app for both Android and IOS because in many place people don’t have a computer with them but always have their phone.

When you are outside giving some flyers, I believe it is more accurate to go to a special place like a computer and mobile phone shops. Computer mall is a very good place to promote. Internet cafe can be also a place to leave a few flyers.

If you are doing what I said above you already must start to have a small community but it will grow more. Don’t forget to adapt it to your culture or tradition, the closest from your people is always the best. Nothing comes in a day or two it takes some time. But it is worth it.

See you soon for another post
