As soon as the burial was over, the few people who attended dispersed and left Nattat on her own. It was her scream that attracted Leila, Roka’s wife, who also attended the burial and she made a return to behold the little girl, crying.
“Why are you still her,e does that mean you have no place to go?” Leila asked.
“No ma, I have no place and no one to run to. I am just alone,” replied Nattat.
Leila had compassion on her, but her problem was how she would take in the little girl when her home was already to her, a hell of fits own.

Whilst she contemplated, she felt cold over Nattat’s adorable character and humility, which she barely saw in her eight years of marriage to Roka. Though she was yet to conceive a child, Roka already had about thirty nine children, Which was almost a hamlet.
Only his first wife, Samara and of course Leila, did not give him a child, and he had sometimes bullied them over that and called them “he – goats”.
Courageously, Leila took Nattat home and as expected, Roka promised to make life miserable for her for bringing in the child of a woman who dared him, while alive. However, in his inn er mind, his only reason to allow Nattat into his abode was to make mockery of her late parents by watching her amount to nothing in life.
“Well, what am I even bothering myself for? What can a child like her ever amount to? If she likes, let her keep and feed her with the little money she makes from her trade. I am not bringing out a dime for that bastard. Rubbish!” Roka meditated as he watched Nattat walking away after greeting him.

Question
