Stand behind Steemit

in #steemit8 years ago

I'm so grateful to have been invited and welcomed wholeheartedly into Steemit. I am intrigued in the fundamentals of the economic ways in which it works and how it's forming the community we now have. I am drawn in by the sheer awesomeness of the prospects of what Steemit can do. It's a whole new world, that I've been opened up to, and I'm sure plenty of others, too.

The first social-media platform blockchain based site, where curating and creating content and supporting, upvoting and getting involved in others in the community's posts. This rewards you, in more ways than just Steem. I have found that I've learnt so much in the time I've had on Steemit. I've opened up my life to so many new possibilities - of investment, trading in the cryptocurrency world and the ability to be apart of a community that rewards each other for their original efforts of work.

I've had some dilemmas, though. See, there's been bad bots on Steemit. I know there's also good bots too; but I've come to the understanding that these bad bots - upvote, downvote and comment bots - are hindering my experience on here, and many others.

It seems that due to some user's general knowledge of coding, they've made very basic but multitudes more annoying bots that are commenting on people's posts, I'm assuming in hopes that they can earn steem and steempower with their efforts. Not only are they lacking in rewarding themself, with the connection we are trying to build here in the steem community, but more so, they're causing user's who want to be here and invest time and effort into this space to become agitated and speculative of the future of steemit.

Their speculations arise (from what I understand and have read) from these users making annoying bots, affecting how the relationships between users, and the way it runs the Steemit Economy, evolves. People foresee a downfall of Steemit's future, due to their inability to understand how electronic currency works. People believe that this new community we're trying to build, will have a sharp and vicious backlash due to the 'excitement' being over.

Firstly, the bots that are being annoying and spamming are really grinding my gears and are affecting my time I spend on Steemit, for many a reasons, but people are working to fix this.

Secondly, I think people need to stand behind steemit. This is still only in it's early phases of becoming. It is evolving, efficiently and effectively and there are so many people who are trying to fix every nagging problem that's brought up. We need to remember that without the support from the minnow, the dolphins and whales wouldn't exist, and without the dolphins and whales the minnow wouldn't be here. You cannot become a whale overnight. It is a process. It takes work and effort and time. So patience is key.

We need to remember that this is an investment opportunity, we're not here for a quick buck (and if you are, go to gofundme.com). If we're here, we're here to stand behind our community. To become one, and to build a sustainable, economic, supportive road for the future of Steemit, and for the users and future users of Steemit. The prospects are endless, and there's so much more that is to come.

Realise that everything starts out small. It will grow, and we will be the founding community, and it will become big, and sustained and full of life, as it is already beginning to do so.

We need to STAND BEHIND STEEMIT
