Can Reputation be cheated on Steemit?

I just saw in a list of posts such post:

Please note that the reputation of the author, in brackets, is 11.

Inside post it is 1.

How can it be?

It's a bug with steemit. People with a reputation of (1) are displayed as (11) sometimes. Probably will get fixed soonish.

It's mostly new users, that haven't earned or lost fame yet, who are displayed as (11). And their actual influence is still just a (1). So don't worry about it, it's just cosmetics, and will probably be fixes, when more important stuff have been dealt with. ^_^
