Am I doing something wrong? HELP!
I just wanted to make a short post about a this... Idk if anyone else with a reputation around my level is having problems with getting good content upvoted or if I'm doing something wrong.
I have been here over a year posting a few times a day and I see most other people with similar content. Honestly, I really don't make even close to what I see other photographers making and I won't lie: it's starting to be a little discouraging. There are times when I work an hour and sometimes more on a post and only get like 18 cents. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to maybe help with this or is my content really that bad? I have almost 400 posts most of which I feel are decent content idk if my stuff is just going unnoticed or if I can do something to help get it seen?
Really just want a little feedback as to anything i can or should do.

Hmm its tough to say. Problem with time here is that possibly a lot of those followers that you amassed over the year no longer use the site?
The best way to build a following is naturally interacting with people that have similar interests as you. I spend more time interacting with other's posts on here and building new friends than I do on my own post. I don't necessarily do it with the intention of "earning" from their friendship, it all comes naturally.
I can see that being true although i do get out there and talk to a lot of the photographers i just wish that i could be earning half as much that would be awesome. not that i can really complain it is free money after all lol. i just gotta figure the secret out and i think i will get up there soon.... i hope!
Keep at it. Consistency will pay off!
I noticed you took a few long breaks from Steemit since you started.

Like I said consistency, try and post 2-4 a day if you can, as long as you have the content!

Thanks! i wont ever stop i love steemit and i dont think its really much of an issue as i dont believe its all about the money i just wondered because it seemed like i seen a lot of trash get upvoted and some good content that deserves to be upped gets peanuts lol idk i do think it has a lot to do with the followers being non active cuz i used to get 20 to 40 upvotes pretty often . thanks for the reply!

Yes I have been. Most of the time through commenting on there work and upvoting.

Yes i know how you feel when nobody appreciate ypur works im a photographer too and i feel sad when i post work and nobody appreciate it
It does kinda suck man but i do understand that not everyone will like my work ya know just feels underappreciated by my followers. i should get more with over 300 ya know and if im not idk why most are following me then lol
