In response to your antiabuse statement and the tug of war:
I've only been active on Steemit since the end of December 2019. I saw a shift from "it's ok to buy votes" to "buying votes is unacceptable and there will be consequences". I also started seeing a continuous and reliable push to ensure articles were plagiarism-free. It was kind of refreshing, but I'm not certain many people like it. The majority of my articles are STEM-related so I'm accustomed to it.

For downvoting, I seeing downvotes probably as a means of limiting the profit spread. I haven't seen it as much for poor content, but as no reasons are assigned to a downvote I am only guessing.

Is there a way to trend data on Steem for pattern analyses outside of paying 40 SBD/month? I'd love to check out that option as I do database analyses IRL.
