Hear ye hear ye, the time has come for me to announce running for witness. The problem is, I have to first figure out getting a server going. I'm probably going to end up doing more work and spending more money than I'd like to figure this whole process out. But until then, I will have to hold off on my official announcement. I figured I could just start and make my node later on, but I feel like it makes more sense to do it all at once and include the node setup in my official announcement running for Steemit.

So what is this post?

I just wanted to let you know I wasn't stalling or getting distracted. Starting today I'll be actively working to get my witness node setup and drafting my announcement post on what I plan to do and what I'd like to campaign for. I believe I have some great ideas and awesome contributions to make. I want to represent more of the minnow population in witness decisions among many other things.

What I'd like to see from you....

I am also making this post in case anyone wants to offer any help to me to get this process going. I may require some assistance originally getting my node going, but I believe my technical background and experience will have given me enough know how to maintain it. Either way I'll be attempting, probably starting with a $40/monthly server a bit above the recommended minimum specs.
