Remain Optimistic About Steemit @senseicat
I know that many people are feeling discouraged, especially if they invested during the peak of 2017. It is evident that the markets have dipped considerably to stomach churning levels for us relatively new to cryptocurrencies.
Additionally, there have been challenges on multiple fronts that have kept the prices stagnant.
Despite all of this news, my efforts are spent in the areas that I have control over. I choose to blog almost every day, comment, upvote others ...maintaining the philosophy that a little is better than nothing. Also, when the markets do improve, the rewards will be significantly greater.
It is important to build up Steem power to increase voting power and visibility and there is no time like the present. Remember to make insightful comments to get noticed by minnows and other larger fish.
Personally, I believe that this is a great time to build friendships and network. Imagine the strength in numbers when new creations come out from the Steemit platform. We will have so many reasons to celebrate within our beloved community.

I don´t think that the STEEM price matters that much, the trash on trending / hot makes the site repulsive to new users. Bot usage and self voting makes it impossible to read good content I´d say, at least hard :)
I appreciate your honesty and I think that your content is absolutely interesting, thought provoking, and deserves significant recognition.
also, there doesn't seem to be a lot of collaboration/discussion, but rather, everyone just posting in their own self-interest i.e. trying to make $$$. I had to jump in when I saw a discussion a while back about Steem replacing Facebook etc...Facebook has/had serious engagement/interaction and it's hard to imagine anything close to that on here, thus far I just see self-promotion. I put up a post a couple months a ago that raised a very important and overlooked question relating to crypto coins and the companies behind them, and I didn't get a single comment on it, which is not a good sign. Meanwhile I see accounts here posting 20 times a days generating $1000++ a day while saying "this is not professional/financial advice" (while making more than 99% of financial advisors)...which is a joke. Also, it's clear that a single person cannot generate that many technical analysis posts in a day, day after day. Even if someone had that ability, are they magically unemployed and decide to use their great skill set to post on Steem as a full time job? no way.
I agree the TA´s are only trash and most often not even relevant and self voted / bot voted into trending & hot pages 10 times a day. I dont even look at those tabs any longer, such a travesty! There are some communities but they are forced to operate on discord I guess, but yeah Facebook, sadly, is superior for interacting with one and another :/

The saying is what goes up must come down, the laws of nature state everything happens for a reason we must look at our platforms in which ever we use and look at the bright side we all have great minds and exert a force of energy soon people will look at steemit as a go to platform just like facebook and bitcoin just my thoughts
I think you have a good attitude, of course when the price goes down most people tend to see things in a negative manner (this includes me) but in the end as we have no control over things like price, except of course if you have the luck to be able to invest huge sums of money in this market, all we can do is try to have a gung ho attitude and just know things will get better. In fact this could be the opportunity for more investors to get involved with Steem.
Off course this is a disappointing time for crypto lovers...the market is at its lowest level than what it was in December last year. But instead of getting frustrated we should consider this down trend as an opportunity and we should accumulate good altcoins to our portfolio.
And off course very well said my dear friend..! Steemit has provided us a great platform where every day we are getting few droplets of rewards😊 in long way it will fill our bucket! Therefore we should not stop to let the world know the power of crypto and altcoins!!!
It is essential to remain calm it is normal that we go through difficult times! But the time will come where everything will improve and we will see the result of keeping us in steem and giving all our effort

thanks for this, your post - good to hear.. being a newbie i've been a tad disappointed tho know i just need to keep at it.. the disappointment comes when it seems no one sees your post just because you're new - is there a way to change that?... i'm not able to 'invest' at this time... i guess seeing when one can invest shows that money always wins out... brightest... :o)
