not sure if editing a post 'bumps' you. but given the 4 posts per day rule that come in recently even if he did get exposure the penalty for that many updates would wipe out his potential gain anyway
Yes they will get penalised in the payouts so it doesn't really matter. I think originally this was a bug but it actually prevents people gaming the system this way.
