RE: How Steemit Is Rewiring My Brain To Become A Better Person: A Journey From Being A Self-Centered Scrooge To Community-Loving Servant In 21 Days
I just gave you $55. You deserve it. Welome to adulthood 3.0.
I always saw Steem Power in the context of adding wealth to others. From Day 1. That is why I wanted it so bad. Money, well, I have not been motivated to make money. I have a bad relationship with it, because I always attached the worst kind of greed monsters to the idea of money. I bought the definition of wealth that our society has created: vapid, soulless people who would run slave factories, raping the earth for profits. Now, with Steemit, I realize that wealth can coexist with deep philosophical value systems. We are finally free to realize that nature and money are both freely flowing and abundant. Scarcity has been designed to keep the masses enslaved, while the slave owners, the most psychotic individuals reap the rewards. This is a backwards system, divorced from natural laws. We have been living in a system that is designed poorly. Steem is designed with the best, nicest, most valued people being rewarded. Even if you decry the whole "the tits win the awards" thing, men, have themselves to blame. Without men voting for these tit posts, they would go nowhere. How many whales are women? I bet there are either 1 or zero. This is the true imbalance of the tit reward system. It will even out, maybe.......
@stellabelle spoken like a whale ;)
Agreed this simple post encompasses everything that steemit should be. Please post this from your account @stellabelle so others can see that while money is great and needed for sustaining life in our modern world, there are many more valuable things to pursue after. I happily vote for people that show they are selfless and use their profits here to make a literal difference. A child contributing a few pennies out of their small piggy bank to a charity is more valuable to me than a millionaire writing a check that is a drop in the bucket for him or her. The selfless act shows that you are willing to have less and give more. I really enjoy helping people realize what their value is and what they can contribute. Not everyone is a great writer, but everyone has a passion or story that sharing might make someone else's day or turn someone on to something new.
OMG, Leah. Please copy & paste this comment of yours and build upon it to become a story/article of its own.
YES. Yes. yes. So masterfully, wonderfully, wisely stated.
you've stood out as one of THE best writers on this platform since I first got into it, and this perspectively completely sums up the attitude/outlook/perspective/philosophy that has inspired many of us who've invested so much of heart & soul into this.
PLEASE expand upon this and publish so it gets trending and more people will read. the more people that really get this, as you've well-expressed it here, the better for the whole community...
(and your votes are worth $55 now?? you have indeed joined the ranks of the whales. :-) )
im a fatty dolphin still. Soon to be an Orca though
I would rather call you a shark,not a dolphin :)
Dolphin are peaceful, and sharks love profit :)
if you think @stellabelle is a shark, clearly you don't know her very well at all.
and don't fool yourself into thinking sharks don't also appear in the form of prancing around trying to knock other people down while concealing their intentions behind smiley faces...
Im glad you are generous to other people,it will make them happy for sure.
As you can see rok-sivante is ill and he really needs that.He will surely be excited about it :)
you mean like, "Biggie Smalls is the illest," ill...?
lol :-)
though to be serious for a moment - as it obvious based on all three of your comments on your thread what definition of "ill" you've intended...
be careful of what projections you make here. reflections may be provided that show you aspects of yourself you've wished not to see... as much as you may have been able to hide them from yourself, sometimes the writing is clear on the wall for others who can see through the words you put forward masked in smiles...
