Thoughs about the future of crypto.

What I’m concerned with is that cryptocurrency in current form won't be mass adopted. Because in my opinion governments/banks will never give away power to control a currency. Assuming this, only 2 options will remain.

1. Ban all the coins all together (not allowing companies to accept crypto’s)
2. Or.. they will let the current coins develop for a few years and when the technology is ready to use for mass adoption, they will create an ECB Coin or Federal Reserve Coin while holding the power.
   If this would occur.
3. When crypto’s are banned, the privacy coins could still thrive a bit since they cannot be related to the owners.
4. In the case of a “Bankcoin” perhaps the current “bankcoins” will remain or collaborate with them.
   Because of this reasoning I’m holding mostly private and ‘bankcoins’. What do you guys think what kind of coin would be reasonably ready for mass adoption and mass HODL’ing?
