Better as in extensive continuous improvement which also affects ones scope or reach, a lot of time people begin to understand other people as time passes as a result of familiarity due to frequent engagement, so it is easy to think one is getting better, whereas no, your audience is the only one getting to understand you better, so to expand ones reach, consideration of the audience matters a lot
This is a really good point. What helps it is having a reference group that is better again. Rather than be driven by the slaps on the back, get inspired by those above.
