Steemit users need to be careful about misinformation about this site propagated by competitors
I feel a strong sense of steemit being attacked with slander from social media giants because they can't compete. They absolutely hate steemit because to compete their going to have to pay their user base someday. Which they don't want to do, which means it would more in their interest to manipulate the steem price and spread propaganda that steemit is a scam.
Steemit is slowly but surely stealing a lot of users from other social media. Everyone wants to get paid for the same shit they've been doing for the past decade.
Bottom line is, don't believe the rumors that steemit is a scam or doesn't work.
If you do not buy Steem, just register and use, you have nothing to lose.
Speaking about scam is not interesting from my point of view. If you enjoy using it, it is good.
Manipulation with price is a problem for the attacker. Any user should read white paper, despite it is boring.
I would also recomend you to look at BitShares.com It is where this advanced technology behind Steem was born.

Is there any news on Bitshares or new things in the works that could result in a price rise? It seems like it's been stagnant for a while.
