Transparencybot has been shut down and it will not return.

It really is not worth it and I do not think it can be saved.

I have never seen so much perversion of the truth, so much hatred and evil in all my life. It has been such an education to see how much angst and bile can be produced here on Steemit, it truly disturbs me .. It should disturb everyone, for this is certainly nothing more than a reflection of what our world would be like, if the boundaries were are ours and ours alone to define.

I don't mind vocal or written abuse, but the depth of this malignancy, this utterly twisted and lost experiment we call Steemit, is falling so quickly and so deeply into an abyss, it surprises me that there is not an outcry that can not be silenced.

Those who can save it are afraid to speak out and those who are killing it, are unwilling to accept they are the problem.

There is really no reason to believe it can be saved, when the loudest voices or the biggest wallets are somehow more respected than the wholesome truths we should all hold dear.

The leaders are jumping ship, check out the power-downs across the boards. The greed of the bidbots is preventing them from parting with their SP, they will be worthless soon.

The beta version is all there ever will be. May your God bless you, or the force be with you, for Steem will not be worth more than a few cents in a very short time!

Transparency bot has been shut down and it will not return.

Delegators please pull your delegations. Thank you and all the supporters .. I wish you true success.

All funds of @transparencybot will be donated. Useful suggestions are welcome.

@transparencybot you're on the @abusereports naughty list for being a super douche!

Bad Steemian! Bad!

I know some of what you're feeling. There are rather severe issues with Steemit as it is today. Is this place unsalvageable? The jury's still out.

However, you are conflating your emotions with regards to Steemit with your prediction of the future value of STEEM. It's still a solid blockchain semi-independent of what goes on here.

I would be highly surprised if it crashed to a few cents any time soon.

To answer the prompt (which no one else has), my first suggestion would be to not donate at all. Although the current situation is not good, I don't think Steemit will go to hell in a handbasket as quickly as you predict (unless we wake up tomorrow and some other blockchain has completed a better ecosystem that included a fully functional blogging-for-rewards platform). You may yet have a chance to salvage part of your investment instead of completely writing it off. Now if you had invested no money at all into Steemit, then a donation would make more sense.

Nevertheless I'll also assume that you still insist on donating the funds, in which case suggestion #2 would be to look at the delegators who tried to help out your cause. They would be the most loyal of your friends and most worthy of receiving donations. Divide the donations as you see fit amongst those people.

How the hell did transparency bot destroy you economically?

I didn't realise transparency bot flagged posts.

... it doesn't/didn't :)

@dillemma

He has a bunch of fake accounts with rented SP that downvoting his most vocal critics. He admits it is him

I must be the problem with steemit, with my 10 dollar post, in a tag I want to promote: #graffiti. That subject gets 10 thousand clicks on Instagram on one picture, and I want to bring those people here by making graffiti a subject that shows on the list of subjects by increasing awards posts about graffit get. Everyone should be pumping their favorite subjects here, baseball, cars, skiing, etc etc. If this place is ever going to be more than a crypto nerd hangout we need more diverse content.

I am far from getting rich on this, I'm not "ruining Steemit" either because I bought a vote. If I wanted to try and profit I would only buy votes for my crypto related posts, buying them for small subjects is to help build that subjects popularity.

No one else but transparency bot has ever downvoted my posts. I also vouch for Endless drugs who no one dislikes either, in fact I advised him a sneaky bot army was downvoting his posts 6 days and 22 hours after he made a post. I told all the people who were getting downvoted in case they didn't notice. I also checked the quality of the posts that were getting downvoted, none of them were bad posts, and there were no obscene size votes bought, we got downvoted because we complained not because we raped the pool. Going after people like me and endlessdrugs instead of Banfeild, chbartist. Heajin etc is insulting. If you want to retain more people to the platform, you don't downvote them.

Last I have to say on the matter, I want to go back to trying to make Steemit better. Not dealing with nonsense

on this one im totally with you and bernie. there are plenty of us who care about this blockchain and helping others and not bidbotting or weaning off. i brought an error to this pages error and idiots were arguing when i said that flags had been removed. so sorry to hear about how this was a negative on your acct :(

@bycoleman, is there a way to find you in other channels? Discord, for instance?

I agree to your fundamental principles but "transparencybot" simply did not work as supposed to. There are to much people feeling harassed.
Read my yesterday's comment about browser-plugin.
There are other quite good ideas about sorting out quality from trash like @trufflepig oder @wonderlamp. They produce a daily list how steemit would look like without bidbots.
Something like this could be done by browser-plugin or even dedicated frontend on top of the blockchain.
I also have some bots running which do not leave a single comment since this simply is not appreciated.

great examples!! i did feel harrassed by this poster and a few others who couldnt back up the claims. i dont want my name mixed up with this crap lol

flagged more than “spammers”

There are a lot of doom and gloom people here. Especially during a bear market. I don’t know the full story here but it’s a bot that got flagged to shit. And I’m never sorry to see a bot get shut down. One less automated post in our feeds.

I've been seeing the doom and gloom posts the entire time I've been on Steemit @mazzle. They're not entirely without points, but generally it's people venting emotion and being somewhat irrational. (and of course it's easy to be a pessimist in a bear market as you mentioned!)

Now, I have seen rational explanations of scenarios where STEEM could crash and burn, but most of them are impulsive. People think STEEM = Steemit and forget that this website is only the front end for a rather useful, fully functioning modern blockchain.

Just because Steemit has problems does not mean STEEM cannot be (and is already) a success. In my opinion, the question is "What degree of success will STEEM have?" rather than "What degree of failure?"

I see people mistaking Steemit for Steem all the time as well. In fact, the current post at the top of the trending page - a new dApp called dlike (a great app for generating more spam on Steemit) - makes that error in their post as well.

The Steem blokchain has huge potential in my eyes which is why I am still here. And I like to remain positive about Steemit as well. I think we could very well see a good increase in users when we move back into a bull run.

amen! hopefully, with all the “cash outs” lately steem will balance itself out. ive planned to stick around for the long haul. posting everyday since november. fingers crossed!! thank you for the realistic perspective and hope.

yeah it harrassed ppl and gave some false info. apparently bernie didnt like it much either.

No, it won’t ... steemit has loads of problems, but the beta platform is working well .... markets are down, but those are a cycle, and they will go up.
