The meetups are really great to meet fellow Steemians, joined our local meetups since the second meetup two years ago, now they are organized by @mundharmonika :) Aren't there any meetups near you?
I've never looked to see if there are crypto or steemit related meetups. I'm sure there are are though. I should look into it
