StackEdit.io lets you save your markdown posts for later use. I have a template saved on google drive that is synced with StackEdit, it comes in real handy. After I have finished doing my thang in StackEdit I simply cut-n-paste my post into the Steemit editor. It is a bit of a pain but at least StackEdit has some nice features like split view.
