I lost 454 followers $660 on Steemit today! Do not lose your password!
Just happened today. I will write what happened later. I lost my 454 followers, my 56 rep and 70 days of hard work. And a bit of money. I have now just the posting key. I used it for steemconnect and for login I CTRL+V-d and somehow Firefox saved that one(I clicked on it maybe in a rush after inserting the posting key, to save in the password manager).
So whoever followed me on @coinkingz, please follow me here. What a ride will be to climb that high again. Ohhhh...
DO NOT LOOSE YOUR PASSWORD! WRITE IT DOWN

That's really sad :/
I wish you the best of luck on recovering!

Ouch! Was that somthing to do with that steemian thing today? When u thought u got hacked? I need to make sure I have 100% got mine right as I have a few k SP!
I just panicked because my voting power went down and copied the posting key to the login, and f..ing Firefox offered to save and I clicked. This was a new password, 5 min old, and didn't save it elsewhere
Gutted for you mate! I know how hard it is to get established! 😁
Re-steemd!
Thanks :)
Maybe I should copy the posts here as well and let @cheetah know about it?
Is there a chance you could still edit this post and change "loose" to "lose" ?
I'm sorry this happened. The good thing about it is you have learned this system so well that it won't take 70 days the second time around to get to $660
I imagine the first 70 days is the hardest.
Your passwords are stored in two different files:
I would try one of these tools to see what shows up:

Thanks, I will check it, but the problem is that the working password was overwritten by the posting key, so it makes it harder. But I succeed to start the recovery process with my first password, it may work.
You can try a system restore to a date prior to you changing the PW, it should reset it to the password on that date. Good luck
Thanks, the problem with this that I changed the password and it was max. within 5 minutes I rewrote that with the active key. So it is likely a 5 min gap where the good pw was stored
Oh no... I'm sure you will get back up again stronger :)
One comment here as well
Sorry about that dear, most important thing is that you didnt loose you
What brings u down today makes you stronger tomorrow
