This is so true, @ceattlestretch. Unfortunately, self-defense is disappearing at an alarming rate from bjj schools.

Also, judging by your profile, you fit into a fascinating cross-sectional demographic that I've been noticing a lot lately. That is, the disc golf/jiu-jitsu/ cannabis enthusiast. I myself am a member of that same group and hope to bring it all together in another blog post sometime soon.
