I injured my elbow again a few weeks ago. Happens quite often during spar sessions. Mostly during those instant moments that you do not have a chance to tap... and before I know, I am doubting if I should still go to train or not...
Anyway, I took a two week break to let my elbow heal. It is almost back to normal, but I have this mental fear of injuring it again, so I try to tap more on time...
The thing is now how you can improve if this fear keeps on hanging around on your mind.

oh that happened to me too! The solution is to roll with your arm inside of your belt =) Don't use that arm at all, and try sparring with just one arm. But yes, always tap before the submission is at it's max...
