There is indeed a lot to learn when it comes to crypto and blockchains and I guess it can be daunting for many when coming to Steemit purely for blogging. As you said, it isn't too important, but I guess there are many that want to have a good understanding before committing too much time to this platform. That could be something holding new people back.
