Steemhomework: What is the most important thing to teach children of all ages?

Due to the current state of the world, recycling is of the utmost importance. After I read the homework that steemiteducation put out today, it made me think a little bit and although it might not be the most important thing to teach a child it is definitely something that they should learn at a young age.

Kids should be taught at a very young age that recycling is very important.  It plays such an important part to improve the way that we look after the earth.  It is extremely important that we look after our environment and if kids start at a young age, the earth might be a totally different place once they grow up.  If everyone, old and young do their best to reinforce recycling we can all help to change the world.

Here are some fun activities to do with kids to teach them how to recycle!

Make use of the following four words to enforce kids to learn the terms:

Reduce

Let kids collect different plastic containers and suggest ways to replace the certain type of container with a less dangerous item. Let the kids collect old license plates and create things like this table.

Reuse

  • Kids can collect egg trays, and other plastic items and create something useful from it. Look at these old plates that were used to create a plant-holder.

Recycle

  • Ask kids to make a list of 5 things that we can recycle.  Let them draw a picture of each item, and then write a reason why it needs to be recycled. Let them find one item for each on their list that can replace the recyclable item.
  • Use old newspaper to create paper mache and create some form of art.

Reinvent

  • Let kids collect a few recyclable items, and use it to create some form of art.

Let us reinvent the world and little by little we can restore the damage we have done.....

To learn how to use solar energy is important too !

Recycling is a global issue, not only we need to teach creativity to children but we should also care this to give this earth some breathe.

That's good. It teaches kids about conservation, waste, and natural resources. Things that you can really apply to multiple aspects of your life.

This is a great educational post. Love the use of the 4-R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Reinvent.... clever way to try get students thinking about innovative ways to use resources efficiently. Definitely helps promote creativity....

Good educational information should be shared so your post has been Upvoted and Resteemed. Hope more people get to read your blog.
