Class get their medals

Luan and Jared woke and did not even feel like eating breakfast they wanted to get to school. Luan’s mother said today you have to have a good breakfast so your brain can work better, I hope Jared also has a good breakfast.

When Jared got there, she gave them both fruit to take with to school as they were very excited.

When they got there the teacher was smiling and said, do not be worried, if you learnt your multiplication tables everything will be fine. 

When all the children got to class they took their seats. 

In front of them was a questionnaire.

She said you have 1 hour to do your questions, and then when you are finished bring them to the front and I will start marking them. 

They all started, and Luan and Jared were both happy as they knew all the answers immediately just like Luan’s mother taught them.

They took their questionnaires to her and she started marking. She told them they could go and play outside until everyone was finished and the she would call them. 

They both loved the idea and had a ball that they were playing with. All the classes followed the same routine and in the end they were a lot of children playing ball outside, except for a few of the children who were still writing.

When the hour was up, the teacher said ok that is it, no more answers as the time is up.

Everyone was playing outside and it just felt nice as they knew they did not do to badly. 

When the time came all the teachers went into the lounge and started working out who had done the best. 

Luan and Jared both had 100% as they really knew their tables. His mother had done a very good job with teaching them. They both knew that they did do well, but did not think they would do that well.

They were only 4 children who had 100% and that meant that they could split the medals up. Luan got gold as well as Jared, the other two also got gold. The second best got silver of which there were 2 and the others got the bronze.

The class that won, was the one Luan and Jared was in because it was the only class where 2 children got 100%

The principal was very impressed and handed all the children their medals. Luan and Jared’s class got the cup as well. Their teacher was very happy and said to all the children you see if we work hard everything is possible.

 Sometimes it takes a bit longer but mostly we all get to the point where we will know all our multiplication tables. 

I think we must do this again, but with a spelling bee what do you think. 

Oh yes this was so nice and we feel very proud of what we did, but we must say Luan’s mother really helped us a lot.

We will pick her some flowers along the way home just to thank her.  

She was so pleased for them and thanked them for being so nice to her, she put the flowers in water.
