I do love lightning too! But when I read that this thing can get through windows I started to panic a bit! Imagine chilling in your living room and suddenly you witness this in front of you...
I remember my PhD times where I could observe lightning on the mountains surrounding the city. I was leaving at a junction of three mountain ranges. You have enough information to probably imagine the lightning phenomena observable during the summer ;)
