I tottaly agree with you, sometimes having someone teach you the basics is much better than trying to figure it out for yourself. It all comes down to "how quickly you can learn" if you can learn very very quickly, imo you can save the money and learn it, if you are a medium learner you should pay someone to teach you the basics.

For anyone reading this that is not Philip: There is probably no one better on the steemit platform to teach you the basics and advanced stuff then @valorforfreedom!
