This edition is titled community for a reason. We can't rely on Steemit Inc and keep the platform.
It's time for action!
Here's just a few solutions being thrown around. Please comment with your suggestions and ideas.
- Community needs control and maintenance of the Steem Github
- Community needs collaboration on programming the blockchain
- Decentralized backend - from @anyx
- AWS audit, alternatives like Google Cloud, utilizing GitLab - from @bobinson

It's a shame the crypto media didn't report this year's Steemfest. I would think it was newsworthy. What other coins have something like that?
It would have been. We recall there were community service events scheduled during Steem Fest, but few Steemians showed up for it.
It might have made better PR.
