Lower The Quality of Education in Indonesia

Indonesia is getting lower quality of its day. One factor of the low quality of education in Indonesia is due to the weakness of teachers in exploring the potential of children. Educators often impose their will without ever paying attention to the needs, interests and talents of their students. The weakness of our educators, they never explore the problems and potential of the students. Education should pay attention to the needs of children instead of imposing something that makes children less comfortable in studying. The process of good education is to provide opportunities for children to be creative. It must be done because basically the child's thinking style can not be directed.


In addition to the less creative of educators in guiding students, the centralized curriculum makes the portrait of education more opaque. The curriculum is based only on government knowledge without regard to the needs of the community. Worse yet, education is unable to produce creative graduates. This is a mistake, the curriculum is made in Jakarta and does not pay attention to the conditions in the community below. So, the graduates are just smart looking for work and can never create their own jobs, even though the available jobs are limited. The quality of education in Indonesia is very alarming.


Based on the analysis of the world education agency, the quality of Indonesian teachers is ranked last among 14 developing countries in Asia Pacific. The position puts this agrarian country under Vietnam whose newly independent country a few years ago. As for reading ability, Indonesia is ranked 39 out of 42 developing countries in the world. Weak input quality, the quality of our teachers is rated 14 out of 14 developing countries. It is also a serious state mistake to improve the quality of education. From here the author tries to discuss more deeply about education in Indonesia and all its dynamics.


Education generally means the effort to promote the growth of manners (inner strength, character), mind (intellectual and body of the child); in Taman Siswa should not be separated from those parts so that we advance the perfection of life, life, life and livelihood of the children we learn, in harmony with the world from the etymology and analysis of the definition of education above, briefly education can be formulated as guidance of human growth from birth until attained physical and spiritual maturity, in interaction with nature and society environment.


Education is a continuous process, not stop. In this educational process, the dignity of human dignity is firmly held because humans (involved in this education) are the subject of education. Because it is a subject in education, it is required a responsibility in order to achieve a good educational outcome. If it is noticed that human beings as subjects and education place the essence of human beings on the most important, it is worth noting also the issue of personal autonomy. The point is, humans as the subject of education should be free to "exist" as he is a personal person, who is responsible.


The result of such education is clear that there is a change in the subjects of education itself. Say with such simple language, there is a change from being unable to be, from not understanding to understand. But the changes that occurred after the education process were certainly not that narrow. Because the changes concern the aspects of physical and spiritual development as well.


Through education human beings are aware of their essence and dignity in their inseparable relationship with their natural environment and each other. That means, education actually leads human beings into a self-conscious and environmentally conscious. From his consciousness it is able to renew itself and its environment without losing personality from the roots of tradition.
