Handcrafted Clay Pot Design for My Little Sister’s Gaye Holud Ceremony
Assalamu Alaikum,
I hope everyone is doing well by the grace of Almighty Allah. Alhamdulillah, I am also doing well. Today, I am very excited to share with you a special handmade artwork that I created with love and emotions for my little sister’s wedding celebration.

On the upcoming 30th, Saturday, my little sister is going to start a new chapter of her life through marriage, and the day before that, on Friday the 29th, we will celebrate her beautiful Gaye Holud ceremony. Since this occasion is very emotional and memorable for our family, I wanted to make something unique with my own hands to add more beauty and warmth to the event.
That is why I decided to design a traditional clay pot for the ceremony. I bought a simple earthen pot from the market and then started planning how I could transform it into something elegant and eye-catching. Before starting the work, I carefully selected the design patterns and color combinations that would perfectly match the joyful and festive vibe of a Bengali wedding ceremony.
To complete this artwork, I used a few different paint brushes along with a beautiful combination of three colors. The colors were:
- Golden Color
- White Color
- Light Pink Color
I personally felt that these three colors create a very soft, classy, and premium look together. Especially the golden detailing gave the clay pot a rich and traditional wedding appearance, while the white and light pink colors added softness and elegance to the overall design.
Since the entire design was done by hand, it required both patience and time. In the first phase, I completed the base coloring and some initial patterns. Then, during the next evening, I continued the second phase of the work and carefully finished the detailed designs. Step by step, the ordinary clay pot slowly turned into a beautiful decorative piece, and honestly, seeing the final result gave me a lot of happiness and satisfaction.
I have shared several step-by-step pictures of the entire process so that you can see how I completed the design from beginning to end. From holding the brushes, mixing the colors, creating the patterns, and adding the final golden touches every part of this work carries my love and effort for my sister’s special day. For me, handmade creations always feel more emotional and meaningful because they contain personal memories, care, and affection. This small effort is my way of making my little sister’s Gaye Holud ceremony even more colorful and memorable.

I would truly love to know your opinions about my work. Please let me know through the comments how you liked the design, the color combination, and the overall appearance of the clay pot. Your valuable feedback and encouragement will inspire me to create more beautiful handmade artworks in the future.
