Bombing in London September 15, 2017steemCreated with Sketch.

A 10-meter-tall bronze sculpture, commissioned in 2009 called "The City Wing" by Christopher Le Brun.

Constantly passing-by this work of art to and from work, I've always thought of one day taking a photo and perhaps make a bit of research on who was the person who made this, it stands among these modern buildings in one of the oldest part of London...located at the south end of Threadneedle Walk at the junction with Old Broad St.

This can be seen from number 8 or 388 buses coming from Liverpool St. towards Oxford St. I don't know the other buses but there are others that pass along Threadneedle St.

Another bomb today

Night shifts can be so busy where the outside world can be non-existent. In our world, a 12-hour shift can pass-by quickly, where all that matter was to save a LIFE. This regardless of age, sex, religion, race or nationality.

Other people have another idea. They want to kill. Using a bomb. In a tube station. In the busiest hour of the day.

Unaware of this occurence this morning after our night shift, the norm was to go and have breakfast if we wouldn't have to go back to work for another shift. In the bus and checking my messages in whatsapp after 10 AM, our other colleagues last night were checking each other's whereabouts. I couldn't really say I was strolling and taking photos on my way to my bus stop in Liverpool St. Nor could say "I'm safe" either as I had another 20 minutes or so before I reach home.

I thought it's that of an angel...

I honestly thought that this is an ANGEL's WING, that it's installation will somehow give a person HOPE, having a thought that an angel is out there somewhere, protecting the people. An angel in our midst kind of thought. Well, that's me anyway, each time I see it.

But not anymore.

This sculpture represents the wing of a bird. Sorry.

A bit subdued in the bus, this bombing this morning is not the first in UK, nor bombing was the only way of terror that have been happening lately nor in the past.

No one feels safe now anywhere. I was just glad I got home safely. And the kids were already in school when it happened.

This won't be the last in London.

But I have the faith that each individual have his/her own guardian angel. They are there to watch over us, whether we like it or not.

Both images are mine, taken this morning with my Samsung Galaxy S7.

Sort:

Maybe the wing of a Fallen Angel ;)
Btw the supposed "terror attack" was just another terror hoax staged by the Freemasons and the Government:

False flag??

Kind of. Noone hurt. Just a PsyOp (Psychological Operation) hoax with crisis actors and make up artists, just as they use in drills.

I should have known that :(

The sculpture can be an angels wing for you,if you choose it to be.

Ive just done research on it a couple of hours ago so am still disillusioned that it's not of an angel. Perhaps next time i'll see it i'll know.

most art has its value in its meaning to the one who views it, for some street art is just graffiti , i say if your first thought was of an angels wing then that is exactly what it is and not even the sculptor should have a say in your interpretation \o/

You're making me think..will see next time I saw it. Cheers mate.

your very welcome :)

and also it looks like an angels wing to me , so people 2 sculptor 1 we win\o/

Ahaha now that you're saying that..it's an angel's wing!!

and one last thing if only now you can see a birds wing then it can be the wing of a dove of peace which can give the same meaning to the article as the angel wing intended :)

na naman ?
o ngskim lng me kc hahha

Take care always ma'am @immarojas! God bless you!

Thank you :)

I heard the news about the bombs on tv, so sorry to hear about another attack :( As you wrote "No one feels safe now anywhere.". Sad, but true.

It happens anywhere now and randomly. Thanks silvia.

Wishing safety and security for all of you there in London. My youngest daughter was just visiting there, and used that Tube line. They were staying just off the Southfields station. She is heartbroken but not afraid to live her life.

A poignant post. As @coindevil said, that sculpture can mean whatever you want it to... Cheers and strength to you and yours.

I honestly didn't even check what line it was...even the Grenfell tower fire I didn't watch anymore. It's just one after another.
Am glad your daughter is safe and not afraid. Somehow, we need this mentality to move on..LIFE MUST GO ON REGARDLESS.
I can say anything now about that sculpture..but i will wait till i've seen it again. Definitely, it will be with new eyes. Thank you.

your imagination makes me now imagine same line as you
lolz

It looks like an angel's wing, doesn't it?

It's a beautiful bird wing and the art used in this sculpture is just incredible.

It's 10 feet awesome bronze!!

I think you should keep on thinking of the wing as an Angel's wing. I live in a very unsafe country due to crime, and we've also had our bouts with terrorism over the years, but you learn to live with it. The most important thing is to always be vigilant of your surroundings, trust your gut instinct even if it feels illogical and trust in your guardian angel!

O ye of lil faith! Since i will always know that it was made for something else, maybe that man was used to create such a thing for another purpose...to tell men that ANGELS exist. How I go from here will be of that.

Great post @immarojas nice narratives ... Keep it up

False flag mate.
