You failed but...

I have this one student who keeps on failing during quizzes and even during major examinations. I know he is trying his best to get good grades but I believe there are some factors why he can’t pass. He keeps on failing but last Friday an amazing event did happen.

While collecting the papers, I asked them to raise their hands if they got a perfect score (It’s a 15/15 short quiz). It went normal to me when students from top raise their hands. Until one student shouted his name and proclaimed that he got a perfect score.

The whole class was shocked but it thrilled me. My heart was shouting with gladness during that time. Ever since I always see potential in my students, it may not be in my class but in the school of life. Even my good friend Albert Einstein once said, “Every child is born a genius.”

WHAT'S POSITIVE WITH YOUR FAILURES?

Technically, failure is a negative event in our life. We are humans and I know that every time we fail, we always feel down, disgusted, worried, sad, and so on. However, failure is there to bring the best in us.

Do you still remember when you were still young? You always fail to walk properly. You have been into many stumbling moments but you never gave up that’s why you can still walk right now and go to any places where you want to go.

Do you still remember when you failed a subject? You failed but you were given a chance to do it again. Did you realize how favoured you are when you were given limitless chances to try again? For me, that’s totally amazing.

Do you still remember when you failed courting her? You seem to be hopeless and unworthy until you found the perfect girl who will give you a perfectly imperfect relationship. Because of that failure, you were redirected to the right girl who will complete you.

Do you still remember when one company refused you? You think you are incapable until you’ve found the right company who will value you: a company that suits to you.

Do you still remember when you keep on thinking that your family is not satisfied with what you can give? You think everything is not enough until you have found an opportunity that can help them.

Do you still remember when you started a new business but you failed? Then, you start again and found a business that suits you and that is helpful to your community.

Do you still remember my student who always fail in every quiz but suddenly got a perfect score? You know what, I am much excited on how that can bring an impact to his classmates. He is a blessing.

YES YOU FAILED BUT...

• You still have limitless chances to try again;
• You still deserve to receive the one or something that is meant for you;
• You still deserve to receive bountiful blessings from our Lord;
• There are still many people or company who will see your worth;
• Your friends, family, and God will always love you; and
• You still have the right to start something new.

There are still billions of reasons for us to stand up after every hundreds of failures.

Failure may be defined as unsuccessful from an undertakings or being unable to meet the standards but TRUE SUCCESS can always be defined by you yourself because it cannot be measured by any standards set by human beings. An attorney may feel successful every solved cases but a laundry woman may feel successful when she let her sons and daughters accomplish schooling.

YOU CAN GET MORE FROM YOUR FAILURES

Learn from your failures

I was once leader of a small group during my college days. I have a thought that I am not a good leader even before but still I accepted the challenge. Honestly, it was 90% failure and 10% success but with that 90% failure I have gained a 100% learning.

A failure is nothing when you didn’t learn from it. Every after failure, do not think that your righteous goal is wrong; you must consider that it might be your strategy that is wrong. Change your strategy, revise your plan but don’t change your righteous goal.

Every failure is also an opportunity for you to know more about yourself. You will be able to know your weaknesses and strengths: After knowing your weaknesses, just improve; and after knowing your strengths, nurture it. Do not be scared to try again and do not be afraid to start something new.  

You will realize that you are loved

There is always a protagonist in every story and every protagonist has a friend. That’s happening in every story, how much more in your life. What’s the good thing about your life is that you also have your family who will never leave you.

Then, you’ll say, “Inspired Pinoy, everyone around me doesn’t even care”

My dear, you still have God when no one believes in you. Isn’t it amazing to be loved by humans and to be loved by God? It thrills me so much.

“Let God control the situation if you can’t control it anymore.” You’ve done your best but you also need to let God do His part in your life. If you can’t stop thinking that your life is failing, let God give you peace and redirect you to your success.

Remember, He must be praised with both rising and setting of the sun.

You’ll have a great testimony after the test

I can still remember when a friend informed me that she was not able to pass the licensure examination. I can feel her pain. Imagine, she went to a four-year struggle of studying but she wasn’t able to make it---- that’s painful.

I told her not to give up in life because the licensure examination will never define her. People may judge her but still they don’t have the license to put her down. Life is still wonderful; it doesn’t deserve to end just because of a failure.

If you were depressed because of your failure but you managed to stand up, you will give a great testimony to the people who is suffering with it right now or to the people who will be suffering with it in the future. Remember, if you FAIL BIG TIME your TESTIMONY will also BIG TIME.

Do not be selfish to end your life because of what you feel. You must continue living to help the people who need your story.

CONCLUSION

Failure is not designed for you to question your self but for you to try your best, it is not designed for you to be down but for you to stand up and become better, it is not designed for you to acknowledge those who don’t believe in you but to appreciate those who stay believing, it is not designed for you to end your life but to continue living for a greater purpose. Failure is not designed to tell you that your life is a failure.

Failure is designed for you to appreciate your success in the future.

Lastly, it is designed for us to trust our Wonderful Creator.
