Peter Rabbit's Race Game does look like great fun and 30 seconds is one I haven't played before either but the way you describe it makes it sound like a revelation! Draughts is chess' evil cousin though lol.

You know, I don't really remember much about the Peter Rabbit Race game, sadly. Well, perhaps when, some day, my sons from other mothers have children....I might try to find out ;)

I have lost count the amount of times a game of draughts has ended in a stalemate because pieces got trapped and couldn't move.
