The Witness - @cervantes.
The witnesses are in charge of verifying the transactions within the blockchain; in steemit all the actions that performed (make a comment, a post, upvote, give a flag, make transfers, power up, power down, follow users, unfollowing then, mute, edit post, use the apps, and even vote for witness) have to be verified within a block by the same witness; In addition to that maintaining the stability of the platform, they are the ones who decide the changes that must be made when they reach a consensus. If witnesses do not exist, common users like you and me can not do any activity and, on second thought; this platform would not exist.
The witnesses from the first 20 positions (those who have more weight to make changes, and verify blocks) arrive at that place through different actions they do for the community; They arrive so high because they receive back what they give: some of them are application developers, (those apps that you like to use as much as Busy and Esteem that make us the most comfortable user experience); others give support to the community by upvoting quality content and making people generate or improve their income, such as @cervantes do for the Hispanic community.
Witness Cervantes
The purpose of this space is to present, spread and support the work that the Witness do; mainly those who support this project (Repollo’s Community) - Our goal is to help promote the culture of giving and receiving. You will know real data supported by the same Witness.
History
Today you take a look at the “Spanish” tag and you will find hundreds of post created by the Hispanic community every day; There is so much diversity that you can find who to admire easily; We read and share incredible stories, and the community is active because there is a real reason to stay and belong: get monetary rewards. But if we go back in time, right up to the year 2016, when Steemit was barely in diapers, we will find a coin that was worth pennies and a non-existent Hispanic community.
July 2016, the beginning of @gargon - A close Italian friend that had won $ 2000 with a post, then I told that to my brother (@pgarcgo), and the first thing he told me was that this was a scam, but even so, he registered that same day.
I was a month and a half or so obsessed posting in English, I remember that @berniesanders upvoted me a post and I won like $ 100 dollars, after that @donkeypong wrote me in a comment to invite me to a Steemitchat channel that they had created for help people who wrote good content and who were starting.
A Goal
We knew that somehow we have to find content in Spanish because there was nothing yet, and thanks to a branch of curie called Guild we put the head in to start upvoting the little content in Spanish and promote it - Hello @cervantes. @cervantes is perhaps the only project in Spanish that has found the perfect balance between curating and creating a community, since not only they have focused on upvoting and sharing curation reports, but they also keep their followers awake with original content such as science magazines, photography, and art; In addition to its famous sections as is “Cervantes Presents”.
Numbers
After 2 years of the arrival of @gargon and @pgarcgo, and the subsequent founding of @cervantes, it is more than clear that they have become the number 1 curator of the Spanish tag and the Hispanic community. To date, they have upvoted more than 70.000 posts granting an approximately 688,196,725 SBD in rewards. You can look at the public data here.
Cervantes and the support to the Repollo project
That way Repollo received a delegation from Cervantes of 4,000 SP, representing 68% of the total SP owned by this project (not counting our 130 followers trail), which catapulted us in a few weeks into one of the most active curation projects in Spanish. Upvoting daily up to 15 posts from our community; We have delivered almost $ 300 SBD in the last 3 months.
Cervantes as Witness
Now that you understand that Steemit does not work without a Witness working and that you know the hard work @cervantes have done and a little more of the background of their history, the only thing you can do now is a vote for them as Witness. We all have 20 votes to distribute into different Witness; however, the vast majority of users has not even used one. We want to cultivate a true collaborative economy where we return a little from the much that we receive. Without @cervantes, the Hispanic community would still be in diapers, or worse, it would not even exist. @cervantes has managed to make the greatest curators to turn the look and see us and the great potential that exists here in the Hispanic community: you as users and we curator projects.

You can also help cultivate a true culture of the collaborative economy, voting Cervantes as Witness by clicking on the link above and sharing this post with your friends. As long as @cervantes remains in the top 20, Repollo will continue to be supported by them.
We are entering a new era in this platform, one where projects do not fight between them but support each other: the big whales support the small minnows, and we all work with the same goal: to deliver better rewards to the creators of content.
We exist to make your journey in Steemit, as pleasant and profitable possible.

@cervantes is the best project in the Hispanic community! And his work is amazing. @repollo has a big future thanks to the @cervantes support :D
Undoubtedly the work of the @cervantes project is difficult to match, the help and support they provide to the community is very great, becoming the best support project for the Hispanic community. Their work is simply admirable, without counting all the content and value it brings to the ecosystem
@cervantes and @repollo on!
We live thanks to the @cervantes support!
Cervantes is the light for the hispanic community.
Keep up the good work and supporting amazing content.
@cervantes was the very first project that I heard about on Steemit. It was also the first curation trail to upvote my very first post in Spanish. It has been, without a doubt, a pillar for the Spanish Community here.
Some people hate and people disagree, but at the end the actions, quality and progress speak for themselves.
I don't plan to remove my foot from the accelartor, I will keep my journey on Steemit and a great way to do that is to support @cervantes and side projects like @repollo.

@Cervantes was the first community I discovered when I arrived in this ocean. When I received a vote from them for the first time I felt very excited. Obviously his work from the beginning has been extremely fruitful for the community. Always supporting the Spanish-speaking talent in Steemit. As for the @Repollo community, I think the work they have been doing in such a short time is great. Your support has helped me grow and learn many new things. I am grateful with both
I think the work of @Cervantes for the community is really incredible. I had no idea what a Witness was, but I vote for them right now.
