Travel with sherryang: Mtatsminda Park at Tbilisi, Georgia

in #steempress5 years ago (edited)

Mtatsminda Park, built in 1905, is located on the hill south of Tbilisi and can be reached by a small rail train from the bottom of the mountain. Although there are a lot of amusement facilities, such as roller coaster, Ferris wheel, etc, but those facilities are mostly for kids. Luckily Mtatsminda Park is on the top of the hill of the capital city of Georgia, you can view the whole city when you are in the park.

There are several ways, such as walking, bus and small rail train, that you can take to this park. This small rail train is also known as funicular. The fast way is to take the funicular. This only cost you 3 minutes. However there is one stop, which is in the middle of the mountain. In this stop, you can see an ancient church. I, with my friends have little knowledge about Georgian and Russian. We thought it is the final stop. We mistakenly stop here. However, it is still a nice experience.

It is highly recommended because it is not only an amusement park, but also an ecological forest. All amusement facilities have a harmonious relationship with nature. They are far apart from each other and the decoration style is not abrupt. It can be said that it is an amusement park in the forest. If you are tired of the crowds and troubles of Disney's long queues, then it will definitely not let you down. Moreover, there are no entry tickets for this park. You need to pay each facility, which you like. And each tick varies from 1 US dollar to 2 Us dollar.

Tips:

  1. better to take funicular instead of walking or taking the bus. There are very few people walking to the top of the hill. You need to take around 50 minutes to take the bus.
  2. you need to purchase card which is not refundable. 15 US dollars we paid for it in total for two persons. I recommend 10 US dollars per person is maximum
