It has been quite a while since I last played Pentris on SteemRetroGames, and today I decided to jump back in to see if I still had the skills. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the results were surprisingly good — maybe I still have it in me after all! 😄

My first round back felt refreshing. Even though it has been long since the last time I played, I managed to hit 1069 points, which honestly shocked me. The moment the blocks started falling, muscle memory kicked in. That feeling of trying to secure the perfect rotation, clearing lines, and responding quickly to rising difficulty reminded me why Pentris is so addictive.

The second round didn’t perform as strong, but it was still enjoyable. Once fatigue or overconfidence kicks in, Pentris humbles you immediately. Still, scoring 687 after such a long break shows I haven’t completely lost the rhythm.

Final Thoughts

Coming back to Pentris today made me appreciate the game even more. It’s simple, nostalgic, and surprisingly challenging. I love that one moment you feel in control and the next moment the stack rises faster than you expected. That unpredictability is what makes the game fun.

Even though my scores weren’t record-breaking today, I genuinely enjoyed the experience. And who knows? Maybe with more consistency, I can push past my previous highs and keep improving. For now, I’m just happy I can still pull off decent runs despite the long break.
