And here is my Egyptian silver that I promised to share... Isn't that a Beauty?

1/2 oz Silver Monarch Egyptian Cat Goddess Bastet Rounds

I absolutly love this little Cat Goddess
The back is badass with Its details to, and I love the Uneven surface!

The 1/2 oz Silver Egyptian Round is a fractional silver bullion round purposely made to look "old" in homage to ancient coinage of the past. No two rounds are exactly alike as they have been purposely hand struck off center and given an application of "antique" patina along with an "anti-polish" to add to the look of old world charm.

The obverse of the Egyptian round features Cat Goddes Bastet with cat head and woman's body facing right, encircled in classic Egyptian design elements.
The centerpiece of the reverse is Bastet in her full cat incarnation.
The reverse is also stamped with ".999 FINE SILVER" and "1/2 TROY OUNCE" and the mint's signature MPM crown logo.
Quantities of 20 ship in small drawstring pouches with a primitive look that compliments the ancient look of these silver rounds.

These 1/2 oz Silver Egyptian rounds are skillfully made entirely by hand by rolling out sheets of .999+ fine silver, hand-cutting blank rounds individually and hand-stamping the design on both sides.
Imagining the labor involved to produce large quantities of these fractional silver rounds makes us appreciate them even more!

Bastet (Cat Goddess)

Bastet is the Egyptian goddess of the home, domesticity, women's secrets, cats, fertility, and childbirth.
She protected the home from evil spirits and disease, especially diseases associated with women and children.
As with many Egyptian deities, she also played a role in the afterlife as a guide and helper to the dead although this was not one of her primary duties.
She was the daughter of the sun god Ra and is associated with the concept of the Eye of Ra (the all-seeing eye) and the Distant Goddess (a female deity who leaves Ra and returns to bring transformation).

This silver Egyptian round's small, 1/2 troy oz weight and 1-3/16" inch diameter makes it easy to store and trade with.

Another beauty I have that also fits well with this Goddess is this awsome 1/2 oz.
I'm ashsmed to say I forgot the name of this shiny 🙈 but it was a gift and I really adore them, look at those details 😉
