Replacing a current currency will be too hard job as I think. You have to change full monetary system.

We already have Billions and Billions and Billions and Billions of Dollars in United States Coinage... The Fiat USD's will be "Removed" from Circulation... There will be a "Redemption Period"... At least, that's how I see it...
