2019 Steem Round Submission

Hi Friends,

Well i’ve had another go at it (me n Ray’s submission for the 2019) and my drawing skills have not gotten any better 😜 but i was able to get some of mine and Ray’s rough ideas out. I would very much appreciate feedback, and of course any suggestions (or indeed assistance) about how to improve it.

In rough, here it is:

First, please notice that there’s a “false” horizon. When the coin is upright i.e. when the date is at the top, the horizon will appear to slant down (makes for easy sailing! 😜) so as you correct this, the date will rotate backwards, then as you try to reconcile these two things the ship will rock, creating movement. Second, we have included the Sun, the Moon and a Volcano as a nod to the natural powers. the Sun’s rays should be corrected to more resemble a Walking Liberty, the Moon is in there cause that’s where we’re really going, and the Volcano spitting out Steem is a metaphor for the core of crypto currencies, which, i believe, is about to blow. The ship is us travelling amongst the cosmos but with a purpose and a destination.
Thirdly, i have added “pearls” around the rim much like on a Cad dollar.

And finally, for now, i included the words Aurum, Argentum, Numeris, Veritas — basically saying: truth in numbers (crypto) gold and silver.

I tried something else here ⤵️ For a little humour, and ‘ cause it’ll make Welshie laugh, but it is still a consideration. Both me n Ray wanna’ design the best coin we can, win the comp or not.

Oh yeah, and two other things:

1. Per 510’s suggestion the ship isflying the jolly roger
2. The ship is named: S.S. G truly a “steemship” if ever there was one 🤩👍👍
