Where my panda people at??...

The first "true" 1oz silver Panda coin was issued in 1987, struck in .925 fine sterling silver. While Chinese Silver Pandas began in 1983, early issues (1983–1985) were 27-gram proof coins, not true 1 oz coins. The 1987 coin marked the shift toward 1 troy oz weight and 40mm diameter

1987 1oz Silver Panda:
- Weight: 1 troy ounce (31.103 grams).
- Purity: .925 silver (sterling silver).
- Quality: Proof finish.
- Design: Features the Temple of Heaven on the obverse and a Panda on the reverse.
**Note: No silver pandas were minted in 1986 or 1988.
1 oz Bullion Note: While 1987 was the first 1oz coin, consistent 1oz (.999 fine) silver bullion coins (uncirculated) generally began with the 1989 edition.
I dont think ive wver kept it a secret, the soft spot i have for the Chinease silver Panda series. Theyve become a little bit too piricey for my pickets lately, as the rest ofthe world seems to have fallen, not just in love with their design, but silver in general. This has pushed thenrecent releases prices way past what im comfortable paying for...
The premiums on these bad boys, rivals almost all other specialist "collectors" coins, and my only rational is that theirnjudt so damm cute!!
Have you got any Pandas lurking in your collection??
