RE: SteemSports: (UEFA Europe League Soccer) Manchester United v Feyenoord - Mass SP Distribution Game! / Лига Европы УЕФА: Манчестер Юнайтед – Фейеноорд

Oops! You landed in a community of people who like sports. Tough reality lies in the data. Something like more than 70% of Americans like sports and participate actively in watching sports - on a regular basis. [I do have the data somewhere - would need to go digging to find it]. I suspect that this will be much the same for Europe.

This is the way people are. That said, the growth of the sports posts does highlight the opportunity and/or the idea to find ways of using TABS to create compartments of strong interests - and we could build even stronger communities inside there. That would also give me the opportunity to avoid the passions I am not interested in (I will not name them here as that is not the point)

Or just likes receiving money for voting. Most people do not even read what they publish.

Don't get me wrong. I do not want to just make silly accusation. I am preparing a stats and data which will expose how this actually works, and why this is wrong on few levels. People are afraid being against steemsports, because people are divided into groups:

  • which are taking part in that
  • and people which don't take part in that because of one of many reason

The truth is that majority of steemians is not part of that, but not everyone can show and visualise data how this affects whole community on daily basis, so I will.

Noisy, you still continue to downvote our posts even though I tried to reason with you in chat, you are actually being malicious and our team won't stand for it. You are robbing our writers and editors of pay by downvoting and you are creating division in the community. Notice the Steemsports account supports many blogs, the Steem Power is very low because it supports alot of people and so do all my other affiliated accounts.

By doing what you are doing you are only trying to get yourself into the limelight, and I am prepared to downvote your comments with all of my accounts in future if you continue to be hostile, downvoting all our posts is not making a statement it's malicious. The rest of the team is welcome to decide whether to do the same.

We are actually releasing a charity post very soon to support Holland Rescue for Giving Tuesday, will you be downvoting that as well?

And we are planning some Christmas charities as well. What do you do for the community other than stiffling innovation and anything that is new? You haven't even posted in 3 months.

kindly leave us alone as we also wish to leave you alone as well. The fact that the posts are on trending page is a Steemit.com issue, not a @steemsports issue, because there is no content segregation, everything gets dumped on one trending page, how can that be our fault, we are justing trying to grow and innovate. Speak to Steemit.com rather than fighting with us and ask them to have separate Sports and other trending pages, we don't mind being on such a page.

I'm a strong supporter of steemsports but I can't agree that @noisy is 'robbing' anyone of pay. Everyone has votes to use and if @noisy feels these posts are harmful it is his prerogative to downvote them (using up his valuable vote power in the process), and reallocate a portion of the rewards to other posts whose authors are, in general, no less deserving.

I would prefer that @noisy recognize that value that steemsports is bringing to the platform, but ultimately disagreements on opinion are okay too. Authors earn rewards when a consensus of the voters supports what they are doing, and in forming that consensus @noisy's subjective opinion is as valuable as any other. If everyone agreed all the time, we wouldn't need voting.

I agree with the comments about content organization of course.

Yes, SteemSports is a great value for the Steemit platform and the best opportunity for everyone to earn some extra STEEM Power + it´s fun for everyone. And I agree with @carrinm too, that many people are interested in sports. Downvoting the SteemSports articles only harm the authors, so it is counterproductive.

Well said @carrinm, thanks for the support!
