Heck, even I’ll admit that beer tasted terrible when I first tried it, and I love the stuff now.
Still tastes terrible for me! But I drink it for social reasons. I like them girls' beers though, the orange and red ones with berry flavors, they're full of taste 😄
Other than that, beggars' and sco's comments cover me: I think real beer is more complex in its flavor than the research admits.
Fruity beers often get a bad rap from beer purists, but I agree that they can be quite tasty if done right. The only thing I'm not too crazy about is when they're overly sweet.
