Recipe "Yuca Arepas with Cheese" a delicious alternative from cassava
Hello friends of @steemit today I want to share a delicious recipe very common in the south of Lake Maracaibo Zulia State, because this area produces this carbohydrate. Called Yuca, and is the alternative to the famous corn arepas. Cassava, also known as tapioca or cassava, in addition to being tasty has a good benefit for the human being, one of several is that this nutrient improves cholesterol.
Knowing a little about this nutrient, let's continue with the preparation of the Yuca Arepas with Cheese.
- Yucca
- Salt
- Butter
- cheese
1 - We put a pot with water and leave it to boil then peel the cassava and wash it with boiling water for 20 to 30 minutes until it is cooked and soft.
2 - After the cassava is cooked, we vote for the water and let it cool, grate it on the thinner side, then mix it and add a little salt and butter until a compacted mixture is left.
3 - Grated the cheese to taste, then grab the mixes and make a ball all in part equal, then we form each ball in the form of a letting rate to fill it with cheese, then close the heard leaving the cheese inside of the yucca ball.
4 - Then we put it in the tostiarepa for 5 to 10 minutes until it is golden, in case of not having tostiarepa we crush it in the form of arepa then we roast it in a pan until it is golden from side to side.
Already doing all the steps I just have to tell you that we can delight with some tasty Yuca arepas this can be accompanied with a coffee with milk
Looks really tasty! I am going to try this when I am back in the UK, they sell cassava there.
Interesting recipe. But My question is how does this belong to #steemstem? It may be considered tag spam if you do not use proper tags and may hurt your rep score.
